I have lived my life without a plan and it has worked out pretty good I think.
Here is my story:
I was born in Northern Ireland, growing up was fantastic, I was out on the street playing with my friends everyday, We tried everything, from taping a skateboard to the bottom of a zimmer Frame and riding down the hill until one of us fell off and had to go to hospital to get stitches in their head, To buying 15p lemonade from the supermarket and selling it on the street for £1 per cup “Genius”.
As I grew older I knew I wasn’t going to be a very academic person, I was more of a creative person, my grandad bought me my first guitar when I was 7 years old and i fell in love with this straight away, I took some lessons in primary school and then just decided to teach myself because why not. Secondary school I just could not be bothered with, I was constantly day dreaming during lessons and just wanted to play guitar all the time.
When I left school I had very little qualifications, I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life so enrolled in a joinery course in college, I left that after a year because I was hating it, I then got into a Music course in the same college which I loved, We played gigs all over Belfast even some in England, playing in battle of the bands, We done very well.
Finished college had a few jobs here and there but I had a ton of common sense which is really all you need to get a half decent job.
Of course life has its difficulties but you take them in your stride and never stress about the problems which may occur because why should you, it will all work out in the end. Thinking about the problems too much will only encourage anxiety and needing constant reassurance that then will lead to paranoia, So just deal with the problems and let them go.
I am currently the Deputy manager in a Coffee shop/Restaurant and trying to get into photography as a creative output for myself and if so why not make some money on the side if possible.
So from here my journey continues…
